3 buddies and I have a permit for next week. What is the consensus on the best weather source? The Google weather forecast seems believable, with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s and lows in the mid 30s. Weatherforyou.com ? Weather.gov ? Most seem to be averaging out near what the Google forecast shows. In any case, I should be fine with an EE Enigma 20F quilt + an Exped Downmat UL7, right? Thanks!

I just got done looking at www.mountain-forecast.com. I don’t know how reliable it is, but you can get a specific forecast for Mt. Colchuck and Dragontail Peak, for example.

Where are you sleeping? Huge range. Maybe somebody coming back from a trip can say how cold it got there. Edit to add: I looked it up, it'll be -300 there, you don't want to go. Give me your permit instead. smile.gif

Nice try. Don’t think it’s gonna work though. Remember the topic about the leader not being able to go..., besides the permit should go to someone who hasn’t been there for 20 yrs....,like me!

When I grow up I wanna play.

We have a Snow Zone pass, so Snow Lake. We can enter Monday and are good for two nights. We actually have a permit for 5 but only 4 from our group are going, so if there is anyone reading that is interested in joining us, private message me. We can discuss if we can align a +1 to our group.
