Looking to do something simple along the Washington coast. Any recommendations for pull up and drop your tent camping on the beach that allow dogs? I know, Oregon is slightly more dog friendly so suggestions south are also appreciated.

Except for brief sections at Quileute (Quillayute / La Push) and Makah Bay, the WA coast north of the Hoh river is part of Olympic National Park. Not exactly sure of ONP coastal regulations, but I'm guessing there are restrictions on dogs.
You can camp at the Hobuck "resort" (campsite) on Makah bay. It's dog-friendly and you can roam that beach with your dogs off leash. However, don't expect to have anything close to solitude until the weather turns.

Dogs are allowed on something like the first mile of Rialto beach - not sure how camping options are along there. Dogs are also allowed on beaches around Kalaloch and a bit north, but I don't know that camping is possible on the beaches there (but you can car camp at the established Kalaloch campground... though I believe reservations are now required for all the sites until sometime in fall). We've had a great time at established campgrounds like Cape Disappointment as well as several along the OR coast, where once you get a ways down whatever the nearby beach is pretty much anyone with a dog is letting the dog off leash...

There is no place in WA to camp on the beach with a dog. All dog friendly areas are day use only. The beaches in ONP that allow dogs do not allow camping. Cape Disappointment SP has campsites really near the beach, and the beach is officially off leash territory.
In Oregon, virtually all beach camping is prohibited. But the exceptions do allow dogs. One choice: the Bayocean peninsula. But you will have to walk over a mile from your car, and camp in the woods or dunes near the beach, not on the actual beach, though enforcement will likely be zero. Then there is Oregon Dunes, where camping on the beach with a dog is allowed.

Grayland state park has camping, the sites are behind some small dunes, you have to walk a bit to get to the water.
On the Long Beach peninsula there are several miles where you may legally drive your vehicle on the beach. But unless you have vehicle with 4wd and stupidly large tires, you'll want to do this at mid-tide or below as above high tide line the dry sand is soft and vehicles with standard tires can get stuck easily.
You can't camp along there, but you can certainly hang out , sitting in a folding chair with a chuck it and a tennis ball and tire your pup out while watching the sunset and the stars come out.

The Quillayute Campground (the one run by the tribe) allows dogs, and you can have dogs on the beach there, though you aren't camping on sand. BUT--BUT BUT BUT--they let people do fireworks there. So IMO a terrible destination for dogs unless you have one of the rare dogs that isn't bothered. Also it's really more of an RV park, though they say they have tent sites.

Pacific Beach State Park. Camping just off the beach. Off leash tolerance. Not like remote ONP beach camping. But the dogs love it just fine.
