They're in Seattle and Portland. There's one near me, it's the closest coffee shop, and they make excellent coffee.
I broke a rib. It's hard for me to get around, opening doors is difficult and painful. Grand Central told me not to come back until I'm healed. Every morning I call them on the phone, and they bring a latte and pastry to my door. They're not even charging me.
The food and coffee have always been among the best, but the people are incredible. I felt the need to sing their praises.
I remember back in the early 70's my dad taking me to the original GCB down in pioneer square. Always had the cinnamon roll, and loved it. Just had one earlier this week from the GCB in Burien. Still just as good.
It is as though I had read a divine text, written into the world itself, not with letters but rather with essential objects, saying:
Man, stretch thy reason hither, so thou mayest comprehend these things. Johannes Kepler
