OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK — Crews with Clallam County fire departments and Olympic National Park rescued a 15-year-old boy who was stuck on a rock in the Sol Duc River on Monday afternoon. Clallam County Fire District No. 2 Assistant Chief Dan Huff said at about 5:40 p.m. that the boy was cold and wet but safe. https://www.peninsuladailynews.com/news/rescue-crews-responding-to-child-stuck-on-rock-in-sol-duc-river/

We just missed that, were finishing off the loop and got back to the falls area as they were rapping up. Must've been a parade of about 50 rescuers and hikers packing the trail the final mile back to the TH.

Two divers were in the water and were positioned downstream in case the kid went in the river.
