Sights now on 30-40 mile weekend loops on or off trail.
Possibly incorporating easy summits on shorter loops.
Future goal WT in 3 days.

If your interested I found abandoned gear off us 2. Off trail route to Murphy lakes. Inflatable rafts, tarps trash. 2 big loads. I could use the help bringing it out.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,I took the one less traveled by. And that has made all the difference.

You guys are awesome. I really respect those that bring trash out, I need to get better and this helps. This is another reason I like Alpaca rafts besides the obvious. If you pay $700 for a raft your apt not to leave it

Some can't help themselves and instinctively just grab wrappers and put them into pockets or bags.
I find wrappers in the dryer all the time and wonder where they came from.
Trash takes bigger pockets!

Or "medical" gloves and and a grocery bag.
I didn't do much as I was only on a (short) dayhike last week, but I found and brought out some nasty stuff from I forgot which beach.. Yuk! That really is irritating!
Thank you, guys! To everyone who helps with this effort, I thank you!

Was out a few months ago, paint on rock is a tough one to deal with.
I think the naturalist cavepeople will appreciate less distractions from natures' art.

I’d be up for cleanup. I do have random dog hairs on my clothes, though, if allergies are a problem.

I just hauled four bags of beer cans, plastic bottles, a DVD player and four large car parts off Fire Service Road 4020- up to Pinnacle Lake near Mount Pilchuck. I'm always down for clean-up efforts. I have a 4x4 truck.

April 25th is a national beach cleanup day. Headed for Longbeach this year. In the past have done cleanups on Olympic national park beaches, Port Townsend and Whidbey Island.
Some parks will be organized by some group or another and offer free or half priced camp fees.

Life is a mountain, not a beach.
Something tells me there's going to be lots of trash out there this year..... A news report sounded like the wild west is back in some areas of the forest.

well I have already made 3 loads of garbage picked up out there in the last week. I wish it would rain and keep people home

I've been carrying zip locks on hikes as to get out and cleanup at the same time.
Anyone wanna join? Or just hike, that'd be cool.
Moderate pace although I am 54... On or off trail.
If you have high clearance 4wd, I have a few lessor traveled ideas.
Nothings out: lakes, ponds, lookouts, lookout sites, abandoned stuff, old logging roads...
