Also, note the longer, pointed ears, characteristic of blacks.

Definitely a cinnamon phase black bear. Have images of it crossing the river.

Seems like a lot of the bears out here in KittCo are brown. Does make yer heart do an extra bump when you first see that brown fur though, lol.

Yawn...

Just another bear. Ho-hum

There are so many bears in the Teanaway, Roslyn, Ronald, CleElum area.

I've captured 8 different bears on trail cameras and I've personally seen 5 others in the past 4 months

I love my new neighbors!

Interesting that the last bear was walking the same route as the previous bears.

On that last one on your 8:45  post, is the bear ( or elk) trying to eat the camera?

Yes. A bear. Not sure it's trying to actually eat it, but if it wasn't for the case

I'm not confident my camera would have survived the bears investigative nature

I do alot of fly-fishing and rarely see any wildlife along the banks of the rivers I like to fish. I often wonder how much wildlife is around when I'm not there. So, I wanted to find out. Additional to what I shared, there was bear, coyote, cow elk, lots more deer, turkeys & blue heron

Pretty

Bears are coming into town for apples, plumbs & pears. I followed and found their favorite trail leading down from the forest & into the fruit tree groves

Who's coming?!

I've had a camera at this same location since late August. Lots of wildlife. I periodically visit the site & change memory cards. I'm rarely disappointed. It's a abandoned FS / logging road. The tree in the center is the location of a game trail that drops down into a creek bottom. It's turned out to be a fantastic crossroads for wildlife.

The inspiration for this camera location back in August, while out mountain biking, was this...

Mountain Lion prints. Finally ( approximately 2+ months later ) the day I went and retrieved the memory card, I captured 2 mountain lions on video. I missed them by 1hr 45min. ( I'll post those later )

I'm leaving the camera there. I'm really hoping for 1 or more wolves.

So far, Deer, Elk, Bobcat, Coyote, Bear, Cougar

Just another bear video...
