Beautiful day for my annual visit. Beware of a wasp nest about a mile up from the Irving TH. Lots of hunters out today, all friendly. Got buzzed by a fighter jet. Fall colors are looking good. Other than that, I'll let the pictures do the talking.

up.gif Yup! Big payoff for a reasonable amount of effort. How is the brush on the road? I have paid to have my paint job buffed out once (Chikamin Tie trail attempt) and would rather spend that money on new gear.

No issue with brush whatsoever. BPJ, it's also known as Poe Pond.

Gorgeous photos, as usual! This is also a favorite fall hike of mine, especially combined with Poe Mountain. We've always run into hunters in this area in fall, but they've always been considerate and appreciative of our bright clothing. That secluded lake is a real gem! We've always called it Cockeye Lake...Cockeye Creek is below to the east.
