All, A state park crew secured the shutters on Mt. Pilchuck lookout Thursday, 10-10-19, leaving only a small entrance through the door. The old ladder was replaced and some other winterizing maintenance. The road is very rough with hundreds of deep, sharp-edged pot holes, especially in the lower sections. Although enforcement is difficult, the look out DOES NOT qualify as a state park "campground" and is theoretically off limits for overnight accomodations(especially with the shutters closed!). (We met a group of 5 young people headed for a campout up there.) Tom
