This was a Canyoneer-only hike during the summer as a refresher for our botany skills, as well as to socialize w/each other before the upcoming season of public hikes. We parked @ the Red Tailed Roost TH in the Lagunas did a loop hike along the ridge & back up Escondido Ravine. In true Canyoneer style, it was very slow. I hung w/the group for awhile, & eventually grew impatient & went on ahead. Eventually the others who tired of the slug pace caught up. We waited for awhile @ the junction w/the Escondido Ravine trail, but no luck spotting the group behind. So ultimately we split into 2 groups, an acceptable result when we are all hike leaders.
