Finally got around to putting a few pics on Flickr.
October 10, Triciaann and I spent a cold but sunny afternoon up on the Perry Creek Falls Trail. It was so cold and icy that we turned around at the last creek crossing before the falls, only to be pleasantly surprised when the sun peeked out from behind Big Four on the way back!

For my birthday Hiking Partner and I spent a glorious but short-lived Indian Summer day climbing up to Captain Point. Not much in the way of peak fall colors, but what a fantastic day anyway!

The following day, my Southsound hiking pal of over 50 ( )years joined me on a chilly, cloudy and windy day hiking the Tipsoo Lake Trail. The fall colors had faded, but Mt. Rainier looked so majestic as storm clouds brewed around its summit.
Thanks, Gali, Barb, Z and bobbi!
That is my favorite photo of the group too, and it looks like Barb was close to the same spot on the trail when she took her picture! The late afternoon light created kind of a magical feeling.
Just got back from Lake Stuart and although the larches are still colorful, the late afternoon light was blocked by Mt. Stuart, so picture-taking was a lot more limited.
