Oh no.. I am so sorry. I am praying for your whole family.

Many of us can identify with pushing such wintery limits at some time; deep sadness that your sister was not granted the same grace.

^^^This, exactly. As my old boss used to say, "Better to be lucky than good". Prayers and peace for all of you.

terribly sad this. :-( I hope that somehow she is holed-up in a tent somewhere, hungry, cold, dehydrated, but alive and waiting to be found and rescued.

Sadly she didnt have a tent with her. She was not prepared for a blizzard. As much as we hope for a miracle we are also staying realistic to the current weather conditions. Since she has not been found on main trail to her destination we believe she took a wrong turn at some point. Those areas are being searched today.

Coming by to make an observation in how well this situation has been handled. No hashtags & social media movement. Minimal, if any, speculation about possibilities. Just cold, hard & very harsh facts with timely updates. Those affected have not interfered with professional SAR operations and have had very good interactions with the local news, giving them little to nothing to sensationalize. Thanks for handling this sensibly, privately & respectfully. I hope for the best.

Entering Day 6 of the search. It's forecast to be 44 degrees and sunny up there so hopefully today will be the day they find her.

This is gut-wrenchingly tragic. Peace to family and friends. Rumi
