How do search for things on nwhikers. I type in a search and get many matches that have both words in the search at widely separated places in the forum. For example, if I searched for "Sunset Lake", I would get matches that describe the sunset at a lake.

Just try to be as specific as possible.
Helps switching it to the post option so you can kinda skim through them first or getting into specific forums instead of all of them.

It would help if people would name their TRs properly. It would make searches easier if the title of the TR matched the destination, instead of something nebulous like "checking out the backyard" or "dayhike cut short". (I'm guilty of not always following my own advice).

I've tried a few searches lately. The search function appears to work okay, but when I click on a post found by the search, there is an error: IE returns "The page cannot be displayed", while Firefox returns a message box saying "The document contains no data".
Whut up, dawg?

Hmm, it seems to work for me. Can you specify the search steps to recreate the problem?

Seems to work for me when I "Display results as: Topics", but not as "Posts".

More detailed specifics needed. Both work for me.

An example:
Click on Search
Enter "Blanca" in the Search for Keywords box
Leave Search for All Terms as default
Click on Display results as: Posts
Leave all else as Defaults
Returns 143 matches. Clicking on View Post results in error. So does clicking on the thread title.

Hmm, works fine for me (even if I am logged out). Try clearing your cache and/or hitting refresh on the releveant pages.
