There were meadows, waterfalls, old grown with fairy rings, mountain goats dancing with bears, a lake with icebergs, spectacular views of the surrounding peaks, almost nobody else on the trail, and a goddess of the forest that has the ability to grant wishes (she was pretty hot!) This is the only hike anybody ever needs to do, if people knew about this they wouldn't waste their time on the Enchantments or Cascade Pass or any of that crowded, played out nonsense.
This wonder trail is called Mount Si.
Tell everyone you know.

Sounds like one I did once rattlesnack ledge??? Oh no rattlesnake ledge. Definitely the only hike worth doing. I plane to hike it 8 days a week now. And post on IG everytime.

I really enjoy Heybrook lookout hike. There is never anyone there unless you go on the weekend or mid week

Here's a photo from Mount Si on Saturday right before the sky cleared up.
And then after the sun came out.
Mount Si.

On a clear day you can see forever and ever and ever and ever more. . .
It is as though I had read a divine text, written into the world itself, not with letters but rather with essential objects, saying:
Man, stretch thy reason hither, so thou mayest comprehend these things. Johannes Kepler

I don't have an Instagram so I'm spreading the word here. Mount Si is an amazing wilderness experience where you can find solitude.

I'm pretty sure they never did find that Treasury Department plane that crashed on Mt Si with the crates full of non sequential $100 bills. I'm surprised more people don't go up there looking for it.

Or the second of the two companion planes flying into the states across the southern boarder in 1976. One crashed in lower Merced Lake in CA, the other reportedly crashed just north of the Si glacier. Wreckage of the latter has yet to be located.

Was that the one that ran into a Cessna 206 carrying DeBeers’ entire 1975 gem quality output?
Best.

I hiked Mt Si and there were 2 other people cyclopath. Your trip report made it and instant sensation and ruined a prestine environment. You should be ashamed of yourself.
The good news was the weather cleared for me so I had great views of the Atlantic ocean and Mt Everest.

Apparently someone rode an ebike to the top of the haystack yesterday. And an unleashed dog was being delivered via drone. (Luckily, both were shot.) Nice work pal.

Mount Si has literally been on my bucket list for decades. But alas, I've never been chosen for a permit in the off-season lottery.
Like Yogi said, "nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded"
