Picked up a cam last week, it snagged a series of pics of this badger in August. Kind of interesting as the camera was at 7600 ft. elevation.

Very cool, thanks!

Wow! Very cool indeed! Not a habitat where I would expect to find badgers. I've only ever seen them in the Oregon High Desert.

A friend snapped a picture, this last August, of a badger up near Baldy Pass. It was along the Boulder creek road - between the Chewuch R. and Conconully. I didn’t know there were badgers in this part of the world, either.

We've had badgers within a mile or two of the house, although I haven't seen them personally... family members have. I've just noted various holes with fresh signs of digging. Their reputation for ornery is anecdotally supported by various locals I've talked to so I'm fine with them doing their thing at night. They're amazing critters. First known footage of one burying an entire calf carcass:

Input from others with trailcams in the Pasayten is they have also seen badgers up high. We've had them in the valley before in our orchard, but this high is a new one for me! List of critters captured - Deer, moose, black bear, cougar, snowshoe hare, grouse, pine marten, badger, coyote. Here are a few others from the cam. Spot all the cubs in the bear picture!

Wasn't a good pic, just the bottom of its head and legs as it walked right next to the camera in deep snow.

Great images! Is this a game trail, boot path, or established & published hiking trail? Thanks for sharing
