Wrong order of operations above. It matters. Use 1/2mv^2, no parenthesis.
No it's mV**2 times one half. Read the commutative and associate rules for potential knife. And people who use an ^ have no **'s moon.gif

Besides, it's 'its,' hoser.
True, Damian's use of the contraction was inappropriate. But 'its and its' do not exist.
No, no, no, you have it all wrong. I didn't say "its' " is a word. The word "its" in my post is within a single quotation - 'its'. I'm pretty happy about the banter & bullsh## in this thread. Reminds me of the old days before everyone had a stick shoved up their asses. I don't know what happened, and where the stick came from, but everyone's so serious all the damn time around here the last several years. And to think Cascadeclimber started it all. tongue.gif

An inside joke I don't get, perhaps, as you are both saying the same thing, (m*v^2)/2. Multiplication and division have equal precedence, so you go left to right.

This was long commonly accepted as truth. It has recently been debunked as a hoax.

Don't let the syntax and the exponent distract you from what really matters: the base.

I thought this was recently confirmed in the media. Oh wait...NYT? OMG, you're right, clearly a hoax. Chemtrails must be getting to me.

Well for one, if you ACTUALLY saw someone car prowling that's different. A sign that says cars have been broken into here, be vigilant would be ok, too. Saying I saw a guy that looked like this (vaguely describe a demographic, not a specific person) that might have had a weapon and might have followed mr to maybe steal my wallet and keys. Call 911 if you see these persons, but the description is basically a whole demographic. This is wrong for lots of reasons.
I did not see someone ACTUALLY car prowling, just like the guy who posted the flyer did not see someone ACTAUALLY assualting or robbing. I came to my own conclusion and acted on it. Why would making a sign that is less vague make it ok? My sign could have said I saw two guys in a red pickup that seemed to be messing with cars on this date. Why is that wrong?

Did you post flyers saying if anyone sees a vehicle that might be an old medium sized pickup, possibly white, call 911? That's my issue. A sign saying please call 911 if you see suspicious activity would be fine. Calling 911 when you see suspicious activity is fine. A sign warning of something that actually happened with actual identifying features saying call 911 if seen would be fine. A sign vaguely describing a demographic that might have had a weapon and might have been up to no good is not ok.

So if we had the equivalent of Ark Fleet Ship B now, who from this thread would be on it?

What would be the motivation to post these signs assuming the story is made up?
Same as the motivation for any other form of trolling?

Same algorithm works for any thread. Order users descending by number of posts, and take the first 80%. (aw nuts.)
