Its way light and packs up small.
So does my $20 used silnylon tarp and $8 worth of no seeum netting, and free Tyvek ground cloth but whatevs.

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

Thread update: I returned from the East coast about a week ago. Yesterday's weather forecast for Snoqualmie looked good, and I made the trek over to Cle Elum to meet Backpacker Joe, pick up the tent, and treat him to lunch (his choice) as a small token of appreciation in exchange for his generosity. It's my first piece of modern lightweight gear - the tent is about the size of a loaf of bread, seems to weigh even less, and can likely be compressed further. Wow! biggrin.gif I'd like to publicly thank Backpacker Joe again for his generosity and to this online forum, which makes this type of networking and community building possible. BPJ and I shared several hours of interesting conversation, and I can highly recommend El Caporal In Cle Elum as a great place for post-trip Mexican grub if you're in the area. There's nothing like the kindness of strangers to renew one's flagging view of humanity. angel.gif
