My former cat was named Moose. Named so for his size. (Part Maine Coon). Not fear inducing like his namesake, except for a few neighbor cats... he would also play fetch and dig tunnels in the snow.

When I grow up I wanna play.

Perhaps more people should hike with Moosedogs?
I think that Loki, the one time town dog of Twisp, was an elkhound. Maybe it was because we had no elk around that he was reduced to making his rounds each day with nothing to chase. He belonged to the town doctor.

What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

Here's my all time favorite moose warning sign. They have these at the Adams Gulch th near Ketchum ID. Calling them furry locomotives makes me laugh. They wander through the base area at Sun Valley sometimes.
