Ok, gotta bring this up. E-bikes? |
In terms of the Summit at Snoqualmie MTB trails, I think it wiil be a non-issue. The plan is for the Summit to run the chairlift to provide uphill transit (for a fee) and trails are one-way downhill.
I doubt there is a uphill trail where an eBike would useful.
But if they do expand the trail system to include some cross country trails, I'll bet they put up signs allowing eBikes. |

OK, I'm a bit confused. The caltopo route shows it going up Little Si and up Mt. Tenerife. Riding up the last little bit of Little Si would be a feat indeed and I believe that the Tenerife trail is no longer open to MTBs - AFAIK (I usually take Kamikaze when I hike it so have not personally verified this). |
That route appears to be a trail running route. Too many of the included trails are for hikers only for it to be a bike route, although there are some sections that bikes can ride.
According to this DNR map, all the trails in the Mount Si and Mount Teneriffe area are for hikers only.

Yes the stuff east of the top of Rattlesnake is "foot only" as is the stuff west of Tiger 1.
The ISSY 100 stuff is indeed is a trail running route -- with 50K, 100K and 100M options.

In 2018 a new FKT was set on the 100 mile route of 32:34:00 -- UFF DA! |

Sky Hiker, you asked "where?" I was referring to work the Central WA Chapter of Evergreen has done in Leavenworth (Ski Hill vicinity), Wenatchee (Squilchuck and No. 2 Canyon), and Chelan (Echo Ridge). On the Evergreen webpage, they have some good videos with overlay maps under Trails > Trail Projects. Here are a couple examples to see the quality of their projects. I like it. I used to work with a guy who's dad started Ski Acres. Unlike Snoqualmie, Alpental and Hyak Ski Acres is private land! There are 320 private acres there. They could do what they wanted with that resort. Why not figure out a way to make money in the off season. Im for it.

Great place for MTB trails no wilderness crowed area skiing for 75 years what’s not to like. Only problem I have is not enough vertical for real fun.

Riding a chairlift up is....Cheating.
-------------- What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities |

No. It's a different thing than pedalling up. It has a different impact.
Chairlifts are allowed some places, but not others.

I kind of think of it as cheating. Glad people will have the opportunity though. |
