Yea and driving up to the ski area to ski is cheating also
Let's take this absurdity all the way. Using any machine at any point in your life is cheating. If you want butter, you have to raise the cow and churn its milk yourself. There's absolutely no distinction between during and outside of a sporting/exercise activity. Obligatory IP over Avian Carriers (IPoAC) RFC: https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc1149 Yes, it's been done, multiple times. Very high speed, but high latency. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_over_Avian_Carriers

In the early days of the ITV/streaming video business when bandwidth capacity was low and costs were high, we used to comment -- "never underestimate the bandwidth capacity of a semi filled with magnetic tapes" -- in the 90s it was far cheaper to mail a burned CD than to transmit that many bits. When my team first started working with Netflix in the 2000s -- they predicted that mailing/returning DVDs would be a tiny fraction of their business within 5 years. This prediction proved pretty accurate.
