Does anyone else wonder if a full page of arguing if NW hiker is social media is a new all time low for this cute?

I was late to the party at Eskimo North. 1200 baud, super fast though! I didn’t bail until the owner was jailed. Oh, that sounds like I bailed him.

I didn't connect to Eskimo North, but did work through the progression upwards from 300 baud acoustic modems...

I remember going through the callback verification process with Eskimo North a few times. The lady would call (I assume it was the guys wife) and there would be screaming kids in the background.
I did not know the owner was jailed. Can you fill me in on what happened to him?

In his words. Hopefully no one feels the need to discuss here.

North Cascades was just ranked the "most instagrammable national park" in the US: https://www.wanderu.com/blog/most-scenic-national-parks-instagram/
This was simply based on data - number of instragram hashtags created per visitor. However, I think their methodology, both for counting visitors and hashtags, was bogus.
You all might have fun with this bit

Picked up by mainstream media and recommended to me by an algorithm, of course. How else would you get your news? I just traced it back to the original source for your benefit.

I try to avoid "news" if at all possible.
If I want to listen to lies, there are all kinds of used car dealers over on South Tacoma Way.

Good to know: Wanderu = nonsense. The first busload of tourists should have fun trying to see griz and wolverines in NCNP. The article speaks of remote wilderness lakes, then shows a picture of Diablo reservoir taken from a highway. Hahaha!
Edited to add: the last sighting of a griz was in 1996. There have been just two sightings of griz in the Cascades of BC in the last ten years. None in NCNP.
