I was curious about the Cle Elum population explosion in 2000-2010: 6.75% in that decade alone! However, the city peaked about the year 1914, many more people than it is today. Perhaps many of them moved to California. It would have been terrible to live in Cle Elum from 1870-80, when the population went up 13,000% (4 to 543).
Between Cle Elum, Roslyn and Ronald there are less than 4000 people. It's nice.

There was a tumbleweed blowing around in the downtown area. I contemplated for a second whether it was the one that had been in my yard for a couple of months -- the obstacles it would have had to avoid on the way there, and then went on to better topics.

What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

I prefer the Sons of the Pioneers version.

Why? Did he not move here from another state? I have received no offers for my $800,000 house. I'll drop the price to $750,000.

No fear. There aren't many jobs here. They most likely would end up in Pierce, King or Snohomish counties.
