I've never been on one, but here's one I've seen coming up in a few months.

I really like both these photographer's style. Ross also does an annual Mount Rainier and also a Mount St Helens workshop and they are up in his site. Alex Noriega often does PNW tours but I don't see one on his site right now, but he would be great if you prefer more intimate scenes.

Kind of depends on what you want out of it. Some focus more on guiding to good locations, some will focus on tutelage both in the field and on the computer. If you're looking for processing instruction, you might consider looking into Skype tutorials, because a lot of them offer those as well.

I know Ross, he's a good dude and knows his stuff. Alex Noriega is also definitely one to consider without hesitation. He's among the very best in the business, but he's probably going to command a bit of a premium because of it so just be aware of that angle.
There are a ton of pros in this area who run workshops. If you follow any of the bigger names on Instagram or 500px or Facebook, you'll undoubtedly see postings about workshops to come over the next 6+ months. A lot of the ones I see get posted about seem to fill up fast though, so you'll likely want to pounce on something if you see it from a photographer you really admire.
Some others (local or not) off the top of my head who I know do workshops in this area would include TJ Thorne, Erin Tollie, Candace Dyar, Eric Bennett, Joseph Rossbach, Kurt Budliger, Michael Shainblum, Nick Page, Sean Bagshaw.

I've known Bruce Barnbaum for years - great photographer, good teacher of the aesthetic & philosophical, as well as technical. You can probably find some of his books at Glazer's.

Good idea. I have a strong gut reaction against Instagram, but I should sign up for 500px and start following photographers on Facebook. I did notice that many of the workshops I found on Google were already full up to a year out. I am looking more for in-the-field instruction rather than processing.

His work is beautiful. It looks like his workshops are a bit more philosophical than what I'm looking for, but I'm intrigued and put his book on hold at the library.

I think you'll likely get more insight into how to improve in a workshop that includes some indoor time for critique of your work. Ideally the work you do during the workshop and not just stuff you bring with you.
I've taken a few from Jack Dykinga in Utah (he teaches in other locations too including the OR coast) that I got a lot of of. Not cheap but well worth it to me. Bruce was good too but I got even more from Jack.
