We have 10” at elevation 1,000 feet in the foothills above Sultan, but thankfully no wind yet and the moon is out.

About 18" and 18 more expected in the next 24 hours. Power out for thousands here in the Idaho Panhandle...probably do some shoveling and then snowmobiling tomorrow.

We have an inch of old snow on the ground. If it snowed last night, it blew away.
6 degrees this morning and still windy, but the house isn't creaking like it was last night. And, very important, the power stayed on.
What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

We had about 18" here at 2500' but a good bit melted. Now it's frozen solid. More to come!

Looks like about 6"s at 200' near gold bar.
Bummed. Stuck on the couch with severe sciatica nerve pain so I cant go play in it.
Was looking forward to using my new shovels.

There are exercises that can help with sciatic issues. One is to sit in a chair with your lower back pressed against a backroll and the back of the seat. Others involve doing exercises that arch your back and then releasing tension and then repeating.
The pain is pretty miserable. Sorry you are having that.

North Snohomish got 5" and more dusting down as we speak. Right at freezing so it came down heavy and sticky. Lost some alders self pruning last night. Glad I wasn't underneath!

Thanks. I've been doing all the stretching I can tolerate. I'll try the back roll.
Its snowing here at the moment. Snow globe style with no wind. Looks gorgeous out. The snow stuck to the pines perfectly..
One solace in not being able to do anything. I did not get stuck on highway 2 this weekend. I swear every time I looked a different section was closed for some reason or another. At one point last night, 2 was closed between skykomish and goldbar leaving 100+ west bound cars stuck in skykomish... which was without power from downed trees
