I think this should be the "Anything goes Thread" and "Enter at your own Risk!".

When it's Girl Scout Cookie time, I hope y'all can keep things civil. Debate got pretty heated over in the lettuce thread for a while. Ski wrote: | I'd prefer a debate about whether Finnish surf rock is better than Mexican surf rock, myself. |
I see what you did there ... no politics, hey? And you should stay off those Russian surf-music sites - their bots are gonna colonize your computer.

If one drives fast enough while in the left lane, one does not have to worry about being a "left lane camper" since you will simply pass everyone on the road....see someone gaining on you from behind?...Just go faster.
Encounter another left lane camper? Simply pit maneuver them and continue on.

We have "gods" aka webmasters who can decide on what is right or not.
Don't like the discretion of the webmasters, then don't visit and don't post. |
There is no reason at all not to expect the rule of the webmasters to at least be consistent with their own claimed reasons.
As for the last argument, this is precisely what should be applied to threads which are 'too long' or contain 'endless argument'. Don't like it, don't read it

The constant grasping for a place to argue is a purple gorilla in the room that infects threads with nitpicking, nonsensical word salad debate. |
Nah, the desired outcome is consistent application of the rules, and rules which are not based in ill defined terms, so that all reasonably expressed opinions on the topics can be posted.
If the hecklers veto had not been acted upon in such a ham fisted manner, these issues wouldn't be here to discuss...for the simple reason that they wouldn't exist.

What is the 'community', and why does seem to only include posters who express problems with threads or arguments they dislike?
Remember, simply telling someone they don't have to post here or read is a truism which also applies to those upset about threads or arguments they dislike, and it does not address the question above.
