Perhaps we should rename this thread Pettifogging.

Yes but, "The Devil's in the Details". "Used for saying that something may seem simple, but in fact the details are complicated and likely to cause problems". The Irish economy is performing strongly, but the devil is in the detail.

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

where they hit and dissolve there is the corner debris little bits of bubbly red plastic and fake metal trim big sweepings ground down from traffic delights like holiday dandruff the intersection for smashing is only occasional, but deliciously available to hear in my house a sound to raise heads from a pillow to say: “ that one was loud “

a---holes are like elbows, everyone has one. There is no accounting for taste. You are unique, just like everyone else. Boss..."Get back to work, all I want to see is a--holes and elbows!".

NASA announced the finalists in the “most boring and pointless naming of the newest rover” contest. The names all make me gag. The only one even remotely funny is by accident I’m sure: Vision. It is 2020 after all. biggrin.gif But remember when the British let the public decide the name of their new boat? We ended up with Boaty McBoatface. This is a true fact. I think I would prefer Rovey McRoverface to the nonsense NASA is considering. Or how about Rover? I would love to hear news stories about the rover Rover. embarassedlaugh.gif

Kind of odd that kids thought those up, too. Just no sense of humor or irony, those tykes. I wonder what some of the rejects were. I would have liked to see something less ostentatious; maybe simple and alliterative: like "Red" "Rosy" or ... "Spot". Re Boaty McBoatface - technically a vessel that size isn't a boat - it's a ship. That would have been a good one: Shippy McShipface. hockeygrin.gif Alas, the powers that be rejected the peoples' choice and named it the "Sir David Attenborough" How British of them. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-36225652
