Keeping your own land, isn't grabbing it. And if you think someone else's land should be yours to control well then, perhaps that's why they'd like to be free of you.

Diplomacy is the art of saying 'Nice doggie' until you can find a rock. - Will Rogers

Pretty sure most counties in Washington's 4th and 5th congressional districts would want to join in the fun. -- except Spokane County -- it's almost as liberal as King county. No reason a state has to be contiguous -- I mean Washington already has Point Roberts right ? While we are at it -- let Texas secede and become "The Republic of Texas" again -- as long as they take a portion of the national debt with them proportional to their population.

Well that will shake things up. Wyoming isn’t going to be too happy... And what’s with Idaho and Texas needing a path to the Arctic?

Man, LaPine is going to be pissed when they find out they have sales tax. And have to pump their own gas.

Good way to guarantee that the two senators from the remainder of Oregon will be the two most liberal in the nation.

The tragic part of all of this isn't so much that the crackpots who come up with these hare-brained schemes are elected office holders who are being paid for their stupidity, but that people who are registered voters were dumb enough to vote for them.

I see whatcha did there, Contour, sneakin' this in as a "land" topic, when it really belongs in the Saloon, but even then, the article is essentially political, something we've agreed to avoid. So I'm lockin' it up in advance of it gettin' ugly, and Tom having to do it. Sheesh, you guys.
