This is Bootpathguy's wildlife webcam thread. He posts many different video clips of a wide variety of animal life--not just wolves. This is quite rewarding and enjoyable to a number of us here.
Please carry the pro and con re-introduction discussion and inevitable arguments to the Stewardship (now Lands) Forum. Thanks, ~z

My wife joins me sometimes when I'm scouting for a spot to set some cameras.
She's the photographer. Does it professionally. Mostly portraits, engagements, weddings, corporate headshots, pregnancy & newborn, landscape etc...
She's been concentrating on wildlife the last several months
Thought I'd share ( all Central & Eastern Washington )

The "twins" portrait is charming.
Some of her work reminds me of Max Waugh's on the Yellowstone chat forums.
Thank you for posting her work, along with yours.
Quite a few local PNW fauna I have never seen in real life, so the behavioral videos are a special treat.
I am not sure whether animals think they are effectively hidden when they put a tree trunk or a few blades of grass between themselves and the viewer or whether it is an instinctual defensive maneuver.

Upon further review, it's not a Lynx.
Bobcat, it is.... I agree.
Love your photos... and vids....

More great shots BPG - thank you for your continued postings!
I track and observe both lynx and bobcats in my area and I completely agree with your comment BPG regarding the size of footprints, they are on a different scale v bobcat. The lynx footprints I see are nearly the same size as cougars' but shorter in stride and a shallower depression. The bobcats' prints I find are more of a similar size as a coyote's (but different stride). The bobcats I see in my area have a coat coloring that's based on a brown to orange-brown coloration while the lynx I have seen have coloration that is more based on shades of grey-white-black but with fewer brown tones.

Love your pix, I get tots of bobcats, bears, and coyotes here in town but no Lynx. Game cams are the most fun you can have with your clothes on!

Nothing spectacular critter wise, but, I just like the snow, river, and what it looks like when a coyote leaves it's tracks in the snow

Also, still need to go find a wolverine. |
Went high into the mountains today. Missed this animal by a few hours, maybe minutes
wolverine foot nearly as large as an adult wolf
Will go back and make a camera set tomorrow. Wish me luck
