^ my sister saw them live over at the UPS Fieldhouse. I didn't attend that one, though.

I've slept many a night in my truck. Way better than out on the ground in the rain.

The Night Of The Terrible Dog Fart took place at a bad time. I thought the battery was dead, but it had just enough juice left to run the fan to rid the trailer of the foul odor. There were no more farts that night. Guess he gave that one all he had.
I wouldn't be lighting matches or smoking when a Lab farts in a small enclosure! Their farts are potent and could easily power the world if there was a way to capture the farts. It's a flat(ulence) earth problem.
What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

It certainly does feel colder sometimes inside the car on cold mornings when you go to start it up. But that's with no humnas being inside to warm it up.

Yep me too. I don't need car sleeping lessons from some online mob.

Unless you're sleeping in your car and get surrounded by Navy SEALs.
Then you'll wish you listened to them.

But if you have a farting dog along, he/she will alert you if any kind of a seal/SEAL is about to attack you, unless you've run him until his heart burst and he's too tired to care.

Your body can lose heat in three ways:
1. Conduction: ...
2. Convection: ...
3. Radiation: ... |
Don't forget the 4th way, phase change, like sweating. Huge heat transfer, very efficient.
I got to use my MSME in thermodynamics! Didn't at work.

If you have a good sleeping pad and bag, it likely won't be much difference one way or the other.

Slept a lot of nights in the ol’ Vega kamback at trailheads. Back seat folded clear flat. Could almost stretch out. Had a piece of polyfoam, purchased at Ernst Malmo. It would also fit in my Eld Equipment tent - much better than sealed foam for camping along a road.
Condensation? Yep. Drier than sleeping in the rain? Yep. Warm enough in a sleeping bag, even at just snowing. You bet.
If that Vega wasn’t a piece of junk it would have been a great car.

On a trip around the national parks in the winter, I slept two nights in my van at Yellowstone when it was 5 degrees. Definitely warmer in the van than when I went out the next morning.

Right, evaporative cooling. I wrote:
"In cold weather, the car cannot get colder than the surrounding air."
...but in warm sunny weather, if you just drove through a rain squall, the car may cool slightly below ambient - probably just fractions of a degree - from the rain evaporating off the surface.

I know, right? All that thermo, heat transfer, control systems, never really used any of it. But over the years it allowed me to be the smart guy in the room a few times, so no regrets!

I couldn't imagine sleeping on an insulated backseat off the ground would be colder then sleeping on solid ice, snow or even cold dry ground.
