I've seen three butterflies this week and saw a Bumble bee yesterday at Carkeek Park.
Hey I was at Carkeek too on Friday (afternoon). Lots of nettles there.

Someone pointed out to me a little patch of skunk cabbage at Boeing Creek Park a couple years ago. I checked this week, it's just starting to pop up.

sigh! fresh snow in the mountains!! snow level as low as 5900ft in some places for the rest of the week! heavy rains mixed with warmer temps next weekend could cause some problems, the local streams/rivers are already up a tad. it is just a little over a month till official summer june 21.

har har it began snowing last nite around midnight...it is still snowing at 06:30. I have 9 inches of very heavy wet snow on the deck. the trees in the neighborhood are all bent over with the heavy snow. the main street of town has no traffic on it at all.. supposed to continue until 1 this afternoon...... I dare say most of the greater area around us is shut to traffic including the main passes. temp is low 30ish with the last two days of heavy rain.....
