Minimum 2 weeks of food. 4 gallons whiskey
( for barter ). As much ammo as you think you need. 40 gallons of water. Large blue tarps.
I could go on but to each their own.

That, combined with one of those bidet seats, seems optimal. I would use the sterilize cycle on the washing machine though, which is fairly energy intensive. We did cloth diapers and this worked great.
Also been trying to figure out how to attach my bike to the grain mill. Using pedal power to generate electricity is pretty silly if you do the math, but using it to do actual work (yes, including transportation) can be really effective.

Face masks...but not for virus protection.
Going to help a friend do a bit of fiberglass insulation work so tried to find masks at the lumber yard while picking up supplies in Oldtown Idaho just east of the Wa border...nada 'till May!
So we were then grocery shopping in Priest River Id. and found a random package of masks just laying on a shelf, out of place and marker $2 for 5 masks. Eureka ! Like striking Gold!!! Lol.
When will the madness end? Probably around May when the masks are restocked.

Quote from one of my favorite movies.
Name that film.

Coffee and something to make it with will come in handy. Coffee is good for morale. Keep enough so you can treat your neighbors to coffee. I also have a box of pop tarts because they are cheery food and keep forever. Cheery stuff is important during nasty times.
I used to carry a small kit of supplies with me in the woods in case a slide blocked a road. I had coffee to share but wondered about carrying a can or two of snoose. I don't use it but I've seen what deprivation of snoose and cigarettes can do to a crew. It isn't pretty.
What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

This!!! I have loved Pop Tarts since I was a wee lad...favs being Blueberry and Strawberry. But now most stores only carry the frosted ones, which I have never liked. Safeway and the evil wally world do carry them.

Well, I'll take this latest "calamity" for example.
2 weeks of self quarantine!? Folks get bored
My vote
Stock up on... Birth Control!
Versus the "not so much?" No need to stock up on pornography. That's just exasperates the bordom

I've got three Luci Lights. They are great. They are bright and last through a whole night and then you just recharge them in the sun. I use one as a bathroom light in my travel trailer. It's much better than the built in light. I think I've had one for four years so they are durable.
They weigh nothing and are easy to store. They take up as much room as a CD when not inflated.
I wonder why folks suggest candles and battery dependent lights when Lucis are available?
