We've gotten amazing pictures over the years of bear, elk, bobcat, deer, neighbor's dog, etc. in our back pasture. But we've been waiting TWENTY YEARS for this one! Over the moon.

One week later (territorial rounds?), cat is back! Heading in the opposite direction, this time. He certainly looks healthy.
ETA: Six days later a herd of 20+ elk visited the pasture. They come here routinely and have made it impossible to add young trees to the area, stripping and killing the saplings. I wondered if the mountain lion might move them out of the area, but apparently not. This place could use a pack of wolves.

This wolf was headed towards the way I was approaching. It saw, smelled or heard me coming. I missed visually seeing it by just a few minutes ( notice time stamps ) Come'n at me

So what do you think is going on there? Do you think the bear is checking out the camera?
