Went out with Kirsten to do Cub Peak. Cub Peak is a peak northeast of Wagonwheel Lake in the Olympic National Park (Peak 4755).
Left the staircase ranger station and ran into snow around 3800 feet. We made it to Wagonwheel lake in great sun. Wagonwheel Lake is uninspiring! We then went up and to the northeast and then along the ridgeline to the summit. Snow was hard on the surface at the time for certain sections and Kirsten was not used to the use of crampons so I short roped her in areas.
Great day out!
