Garth Brooks: Gershwin Prize If you like his music, this is great. https://www.pbs.org/video/garth-brooks-gershwin-prize-0a0b9z/ Also if I read it right, there is a live concert tomorow from their home studio Garth & Trisha Live! at 8 to 9 p.m. Wednesday on the CBS Television Network.

Check out this guy's YouTube vids. Click on the link, click the Videos tab, and you'll see hundreds of 45's and some LPs to choose from. This guy starts each video by showing you the record label - you will be blasted by the past; some of these record labels haven't hit your brain in decades. It's like going to Detroit for the first time in 40 years and seeing a Sunoco gas station sign - that you haven't seen in 40 years ...Anyway, the guy then puts the record on the turntable; the sound is so good, and - when's the last time you heard a record hiss and pop! Also many comments on these give good history of records labels, etc. Check it out. Get it all here: WABCRADIOP77 This one puts you right in the face of a record and turntable.

Someone over in one of the Covid threads posted a notice last week or so that the new Star Trek limited series Picard can now be streamed on CBS All Access with a 1-month free trial membership. I was getting bored with Netflix. This worked for me. Unfortunately I couldn't help myself and binged it in about 3 days. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoyed Star Trek TNG; familiarity with some of the minor TNG occasional characters is helpful:
Well that was me but I'm afraid I have to agree with the reviewer who said "boldly going where no one wanted it to go". Hollywood-style drama claims another victim. (Although Picard does have some good lines like "I never really liked science fiction.") This action is more my pace:
BTW, guess you can't go see it now, but they have that costume on display at MoPOP.

Kim, that's an unusual list of oldies that guy has; many of which never even resurfaced on oldies stations. There are a handful of tunes in there that I selected on youtube some time ago and put on a playlist I call "One Hit Wonders". Thanks for putting it up. up.gif

I enjoyed this very much. Interesting and calming. It was great to see sights from the water view that I had looked on from ashore over the years. I agree about the music levels and choices. They didn't interfere with the narration or flow of the journey. Thanks, ~z .
