OK, I may be late to the party on this, but just stumbled onto this site:

Via this site you can look at and download the latest USFS updated topo maps in .pdf format or .TIF format.  If you have Avenza, you can then use them with Avenza for a pretty neat navigation app.  I've been using Avenza for a while, but glad to find another source of maps!
