I'm sure ya'll will be happy to know that I'm going to bed! Tomorrow we'll do art, we'll do logic, we'll do facts or alternate facts again. Good night sweet prince!

I just stumbled onto this. Non traditional hair colorization used to give me some pause, but it's starting to become somewhat normalized these days. I'm not quite ready to rock some blue hair myself, but it works for some people. biggrin.gif

Did life really exist before You Tube and endless covers of almost every song ever written? suuure.gif I don't have Netflix streaming so I haven't seen the series The Witcher. This song from the series is extremely popular among the You Tubers, there are a whole bunch of versions of it. The original is a bardic folk song. Many of the covers are trending toward rock/metal, the song seems to lend itself to that fairly well. Here's one of them. I quite like it. The singer's name is Violet Orlandi, doesn't seem to appear in the clip unless you hover over the little icon in the upper left corner.

Brand new today. They broke up for a while but obviously they are back, they've been touring again off and on. WARNING: gratuitous man bun shots if you are triggered by that. hockeygrin.gif But it also features adorable cats and dogs. The song really doesn't get going til about 1:30 if you want to skip.

Cecile Licad, piano. Claudio Abbado, cond. Chicago Symphony Orchestra – recorded 1984 the first two movements have been listed on Youtube for years, but this is the first time I’ve seen it posted on Youtube with the third movement (Allegro scherzando) – intact – and with the “Paganini” opus (I’ve been listening to the Fedorova rendition on YouTube for the last year or so.) I had about five different versions of this on vinyl years ago... Ashkenazy and others... and this one was always my favorite.

"I shall wear white flannel trousers, and walk upon the beach. I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each."

This is a just a small portion of a 3 hour long concert from symphonic metal band Epica with a full orchestra and choir. Skip ahead to about 3 minutes if you want the really good stuff. Darth Vader definitely deserves crunchy guitars for his theme.

Walter Barnes and His Royal Creolians It’s Tight Like That Lost in the Rhythm Club Disaster, Natchez, eighty years ago. Played Marie, by Berlin, while audience attempted to escape the fire. Less well known than Nearer My God To Thee being played by Titanic’s orchestra.

This played during the end credits of the Maleficent sequel. I tried a few of her other songs, not really my style, but I like this one. Side note, after recently watching a brief documentary about Albania I'm finding myself kind of intrigued to find out about some celebrities with Albanian heritage, including Bebe (also Dua Lipa and Rita Ora).

So much awesomeness here. Two versions of I Feel Love from 1977 and 1978, a song by Donna Summer. Produced and co-written by EDM pioneer Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte. Embiggen for maximum enjoyment. ~z

The lovely Anna Fedorova on the Steinway:
