up.gif Cool, thanks. I think we get both California and Steller's around here. The Steller's are BIG boys!

Chuckanut drive to the clothing optional beach today. Amazing weather, didn't bring sunblock so actually had to get dressed after a couple hours or would have burned. ... I will try to post pics later...

Morning run to Ballard to see all the murals.
Wait, What? I live right next to Ballard and I've never seen most of those murals. Time for a walk around the neighborhood.

Canoed from Sweyolocken boat launch to Mercer Island, intending to go to Luther Burbank park, but Lake Washington got a little choppy and breezy so I paddled back to Mercer Slough in Bellevue. It’s very sheltered and is loaded with birds. I also love the fish ladder at the far north end.

All over Ballard Ave, from Second Ascent up to Market. Really nice instead of plywood everywhere! I think they're also running the farmer's market on Sundays again, with a lot of restrictions of course.

Took advantage of the weather for a ride to Yellow Lake. Timed it right for a beautiful pink sunset on the home stretch. Was nice to break up the final 700' of gain with photo ops.

Long run day. Circumnavigation of Magnolia. Out towards Ballard and through Discovery Park, down Magnolia Boulevard to the waterfront, back via Seattle Center and Westlake Ave. 16 miles total. Last few miles were tough. Looking forward to getting some trail run miles in soon, hopefully.

That's a fun beach, opus. That staircase is really falling down the hill! If you time it with the tides, the walk back to the yacht club is some of the most scenic beach in seattle, and there are some lounge chairs on top of landslid chunks of foundation for soaking up the sun.

Went to the Ice Caves bridge today. The very last section of the bridge has been removed, not sure how long it will take them to replace it, but it doesn't look too bad. Imo it was pretty poor engineering that led to this problem as the footing on the far side was filled with marble sized gravel, how they though that would not get washed away is beyond me. The road is nearly entirely melted now up to the picnic area and we encountered consolidated snow on the trail leading to the bridge, but no post holing.

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

More urban-Seattle running. Arboretum waterfront trail is still too muddy and flooded to be pleasant.

Taking a cue from the "Social Distance Running" group I'm part of, let's see some GPS art. Whatever your mode of travel. Record a GPS track in some kind of neat pattern. Strava, MapMyRun, GmapPedometer, whatever. https://www.boredpanda.com/frida-kahlo-running-art-lenny-maughan/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=organic
