Brand new song from Widowspeak. The song is kinda basic, but the stop motion animation with bread dough is brilliant!

hockeygrin.gif I have suddenly been reminded that Cajun music exists. I got into it for a while. The vocals are not usually the strong suit of the genre. But oh my, the accordion and fiddle action is splendid.

This is relatively new. There's an actual video for the song, one of the strangest things I've ever seen, so we'll just go w/ the audio only. Purity Ring has a unique sound, they don't really remind me of anything else.

Some interesting new offerings here of late, folks. But now it's throwback time. A while ago I picked up a Kinks greatest hits CD. Love their social commentary tunes, and a lot of their stuff is pretty durable for goin'-down-the-road. A diverse sampling:

The Kinks were always one of my favorite bands. Album after album of great songs. Saw them once in San Francisco.

^^^ The Kinks are now considered one of the most influential bands of their era. I appreciate them more now than previously. I think that's maybe a sign of aging. Or something. hockeygrin.gif

It must be a sign of improving musical appreciation.

Yeah, that's gotta be it, Washakie. lol.gif Since no one else commented on it, RayD's post of the toddler on Twitter doing his best Delta Blues rendition is a hoot. Much needed innocent humor for these times. Like the hammock bears in the youtube thread. How about one more from the Kinks ...

"Elevator music" on Spotify. Surprisingly relaxing. Seriously.
