Since the photos taken above I finally caved and got myself a bird-feeder. It's been a fun time watch some beautiful birds (and bunnies!) gather around the yard...

A few more from the past few days...
As I was taking photos of this young female house finch, still with its eye 'tufts', it comically puffed itself up to nearly twice its size:
38- Wait for it... 39- ...still waiting... 40- ...still waiting... 41- Surprise!

Where did you see the cardinal? My range maps show this as an eastern bird!

Yes, these are all from southwestern Pennsylvania. Cardinals and Blue Jays are plentiful here. Both are extremely pretty birds. The Blue Jay, in particular, is gorgeous.
