I took mine to Marine Safety Services in Seattle. I took about a week to get it back. They replaced the battery and tested it.

I'll second that, I mailed my ResQLink, or as they referred to it the little guy, with a cashiers check to cover mailing and the turnaround was quick. They are very easy to deal with and they test your ACR.

I just installed a battery for my ResQlink from beaconbatteryreplacement.com. Cheap and easy DIY. Watch the video. For 10 more bucks they'll do it for you but not worth the wait.

Good to know you had a decent experience with them Mike. I wasn't sure how legit they were. Dropped off the PLB at Marine Safety today - cost $150. I suspect the high cost is to cover a warranty (in comparison to the DIY cost). I second your thoughts Jeff. Really obnoxious.

Not buying that explanation. Beacon is $49 to do the same thing. $39 DIY which took 10 minutes. Including watching the video.
