I'm planning to toss these La Sportivas unless there's any interest in a freebie. Failed in my attempt to glue the soles back on but I'm sure it's possible. They never fit me great anyway. Obviously used, but not thrashed. Size 10 3/4 I guess, but close enough.

Check your PM. I have several pair of new 10.5 boots you can have for free. I stocked up because I liked the boots, then my feet changed and can no longer wear them. |

I've still got the same offering for someone with a bottle of glue and some patience... |

Wow, Neek - that photo is a good illustration of what can happen with boots that have soles which are glued on, in contrast to the traditional sewn welt. Dave Page's shop in Fremont would be the place I'd go to for a good glue job - or an opinion re whether they can be fixed.

neek,
One of the reviews of Dave Page (who resoled my Asolos) shows a pair of La Sportivas with very similar problem, which Dave fixed.
Perhaps you could mail the boots to him? He can be reached by email.
(Though I thought he was on the point of retiring.)
I've also had good luck using Shoe-Goo to glue bits of sole back onto gym shoes, mostly because I thought $100 shoes should last longer. It took a bit of time and patience, but they have now walked many more miles through mud and tar puddles, been pounded in a washing machine, and the repairs are holding.
Your problem is larger, however. |
