I don't trust NPS' public process. In the original public process, they posted links to old guidance documents that better support removing historical structures, instead of up-to-date guidance that NPS currently uses and better supports retention and maintaining them. Then as now, links were missing.
I called them out on it, in my comment letter. It did no good.

These are the same folks who were torching ONP trail shelters back in the 70s with no process and no consideration for the cultural and historic. It's a religion.

Nothin' fishy here. Park public relations officer is only a half-time position. Since Barb Maynes retired in 2017, I've noticed that many Park press releases never get posted on the Park news releases web pages. It was obvious Barb was not only extremely knowledgeable and efficient, but put way more than the 20 hrs/week for which she was paid into it.
