20+ years ago, I purchased a large--don't know the size--custom McHale pack, to use as a summit pack. I used it fewer than 5 times and it's been sitting in my basement since then. I'm 5'9" and it fits me well. It's definitely not light weight, reflecting technology (fabrics, frame) from those years. If you're interested and want a picture of it, send me an email (rstoren@comcast.net) and I'll send you. It's in excellent, almost new condition, except for dust gathered over years in my basement.
