I’ve seen conflicting reports online about this path at the end of the White River trail. Some older reports mention taking it without incident, more recent reports (eg in the last 10 years) indicate some difficulty finding it. Anyone have any tales of success or woe? I’m thinking about it as a potential descent route off of a Clark and Luahna trip (as an alternative to backtracking over Clark). Also pondering “going in” this way, ascending Luahna, traversing to Clark, and descending Clark via the typical route.

I was there 6 or 7 years ago. We had some trouble finding it on the way in. I think we got impatient and turned off the main trial before we got to it. Eventually stumbled across it. Not sure how obvious it is from the main trail. No trouble following it on the way out.
