Drove out to Obstruction Point to check out Grand Valley in Olympic National Park. The moment you hit the trail you are in high country meadowland. The views just keep getting better as you head further along Lillian Ridge.
Dropped down to Grand Lake, had some lunch & then moved on to check out Moose and little Gladys. Past Gladys, the basin really opens up as you are at the head of the valley. Near the pass, there is hardly any vegetation. Nice surprise at Grand Pass, a trail up Grandivew Peak.
Had to head up there to get some views of Olympus with Lillian Lakes in the foreground. Great view of Grand Valley from up there as well. Headed down, grabbed some water and nice hike back into the valley & then up & out of it. See you on the trail - WAtrails.com
