Although I am heading toward peakbagging retirement (or, at least, serious cutbacks soon), there are some peaks that still have a lot of appeal to me. Tomyhoi Peak is one of those mountains.
Whether it be this weekend or another weekend, if you are a competent climber that also wants to climb this peak, let me know by sending me a PM.

Craig...
You can do it solo with no trouble. That was one of my favorite climbs.

My writeup for the peak calls it Exposed Class 3 and mentions "If the rock is wet or certainly if there is snow on it then choose a different day to summit."

This is lousy advice -- How do know you what level of skill and exposure tolerance that the OP possesses? I've waltzed up class 3 to then had to climb back to companions that were frozen in fear.

That's useful information.

That he knows the OP on a first name basis is one clue; another is OP's posting and TR history here and elsewhere. Also we are all adults here, capable of making our own decisions and deciding whose advice to follow. Anyway it's moot because I'll be there to make sure one of the more accomplished peakbaggers on this site isn't frozen in fear. In an anonymous situation you are right however that it would be bad advice.

I didn't figure it was lousy advice, as I've hiked/climbed with Craig at other times, and I know his level of experience.
Having said that, the finish is an easy, but exposed, class 3 climb. If one isn't comfortable with that type of thing, then they should certainly have others with.
The trail to the summit block area is a fabulous, simple hike. If one doesn't want to go any further, it's still a great day out.

Yes, I know who Dave (mtn.climber) is.
A majority of stuff I do is solo, but I trust my instincts when I get an inkling that it would be better to be others. In example, in the backcountry with steep, exposed Class 3 (or higher) and/or steep snow/glacier. Also, I know multiple accomplished climbers who turned around on the route after getting spooked, so having extra sets of eyes never hurts. Plus, I have a wife and kids, so I take extra considerations due to that.

I'd rate the summit 50' slab/crack Class 4, but solid. Much riskier is the possibility of a moat getting onto the rock and dirty Class 3 above the glacier. One time solo I bypassed the glacier by staying on the ridge but that had a bit of 5.6 on sort of friable rock. Nowadays I mostly just go to the trail summit about 100vft below the true summit.

Yeah I think getting off the glacier was the most awkward part. One false start so we tried the next gully which involved getting in the moat briefly. Final summit scramble was a lot of fun.

To me the big problem was getting off the glacier also.
