It looks like it went through Downey Creek CG too. Last night it jumped the Suiattle toward Lime Ridge.

Looks like the FS is just observing can’t fight due to lack of personnel.😢 Glad we got up to Vista Ridge a couple weeks ago and used the Sulphur Creek CG while it was still there. If it goes up Lime Ridge it will be impossible to fight. My favorite place around Glacier Peak.😢😢😢

Yeah, it's all hands on deck instead, for fires involving potential loss of property and human life.

bawl.gif Glad I got a few good trips in the area after the road was finally repaired from the flooding. Now this. Beautiful area.

Unlike the areas in Oregon and CA that are burning, this area got a decent amount of rain on Sunday August 30 and the Western Washington Cascades are not currently under a drought (like Northern CA and southern OR). So while this fire is spreading, there is still hope this area, and the campgrounds, can emerge relatively unscathed. And we have rains coming in on Monday and turning to a wet pattern.
