For some kind of ski lift--magic carpet? Saw it in what is now a winter sports area. The hillside looked like the local ski hills did in the 1960s with lights for night skiing scattered about. This is south, I think, of McCall, ID along a rail trail.
What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

launch ramp for alien spacecraft, like this one here, except outdoors:
"I shall wear white flannel trousers, and walk upon the beach.
I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each."

"Magic carpet for the tubing hill at the McCall Activity Barn"
Yup, went there last winter. Boring. Magic carpet was fine but sled run dead straight and fairly short. Good for little kids, I guess. Would not be worth $$$$ if long lines as magic carpet is slow.
The cross country ski trails looked ok...long loop with undulating terrain. Pretty sure it was groomed for skating.

I was out riding my bike and stumbled onto the trail. The bike lane/trail system is kind of odd in town. The lane will just peter out and if you aren't familiar with it, some hunting must be done to find more of it. It doesn't help matters that there are construction projects ripping up sidewalks and other infrastructure. It looks like McCall is having a construction boom. Lots of new condos and houses being built.
I was also in search of the brewery, which friends told me was right on the bike trail. On the way back I found it. It is not right on the bike trail, but off it a bit. It was closed.
