Three generations headed out for two nights to a slightly less visited section of the Cascades. Encountered a group of horsepackers, two mountain bikers and a single group of three other backpackers. A long, cold night on day one but thankfully the second evening was considerably more pleasant. Good to know you can still find a reasonable amount of solitude even during peak larchy-ness.

Agreed! We admired your pretty meadow campsite as we came over the pass on Sunday afternoon, before hoofing it up that gorgeous larchy ridge to camp on the summit. smile.gif

Well I hope the cacophony of very happy kids late into the evening was not audible where ever you may have been.
