The main hunting season is closed on Oct 31st not that you have any fear prior to that anyhow |
There's something called Late General Buck Season; not sure what-all that is, but an extension of General Buck Season...?

Bear hunting season goes through Nov. 15th. Twice bear hunters have told me they almost shot my dog (different dogs, neither would be mistaken for bears by reasonable people). Both times I was backpacking on-trail (and met the hunters on-trail) in well-known "classic hike" areas.

Elk rifle season is usually in November. I fear elk season more than deer season. It seems crazier to me, maybe because the first snowfall is usually around the same time.

Also, November is a dark and stormy month.
What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

Special permits Nov 1-20 are very limited. Unless you hike in the clockum lower teanaway elk hunters are sparse. If your worried about being shot you have a better chance of that happening in downtown Seattle. Or shouldn't be out there in the first place. Surprising coming from a person in AK where the population of hunters is highest. Getting shot by a hunter is the least of my worries. IMO
