Or so it may seem. Some rains likely by then; much more a day or so later (probably). Hopefully, there will still be the occasional mountain hiking day.

Well, the world didn't end, but I've never seen hail like this around here. Would be nothing for a Midwesterner, but pretty big for Seattle.

We have to be extra careful right now not to fall off the edge of the earth.
Things could get slippery. The cold will be mostly along the east slopes of the Cascades. I see the NWS on the weekend shows the low at Hart's Pass to be 10-12F.

Snow is being forecast for Spokane and the colder areas later this week. It isn't supposed to stick very long.
What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities
